Hiromichi Konno

Inspired by the various shape of clouds, Kumo collection is a series of lighting designed to capture the calming nature and beauty of clouds. Made to evoke the calming feeling of gazing at the sky, each design captures the soft, delicate essence of drifting clouds. "Wata-Gumo" was made to resemble cumulus clouds, characterised by their domed shape and flat base, allowing the beauty of cloud shape to be brought to eye level in any interior setting.

The Kumo Collection is a series of lighting designed by Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno. Named after the Japanese word for clouds, kumo, each lamp in the series is inspired by the various shapes and forms that appear in the sky. The collection captures the beauty and fluidity of clouds, bringing their natural shape and beauty into your space.

Hiromichi Konno

Hiromichi Konno studied design in both Japan and Sweden, and worked at a design firm in the UK for three years. In 2002, he founded Hiromichi Konno Design Studio in Japan and has since collaborated with both domestic and international companies, developing product designs, concept designs, and overseeing design brands. His notable works include the RIN chair for Fritz Hansen, the Skagen watch series, and card holders for Georg Jensen. He is currently a professor at Joshibi University of Art and Design.
