JØRGEN WOLFF
The danish cabinet maker Jørgen Wolff is most famous for designing the lamp Conus. Yet, he has designed everything from furniture to utensils. He was a part of various design studios where he contributed with his original designs. His designs were frequently exhibited at the National Leauge of Danish Art Handcraft and the Cabinet Makers Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen.
A True 60's Designer
Conus was an iconic statement lamp in the 60’s. Browsing through interior magazines from this decade, you can find Conus in many sixties homes.
WOLFF'S WORKSHOP
Jørgen Wolff had his own workshop north of Copenhagen, where he did everything from manufacturing and restoring furniture. With his employees, Wolff made about 2600 Conus pendants in Oregon pine from 1958 to 1960. Up till the end of sixties, Wolff's workshop kept busy with producing the Conus lamp.
